Step 1: Driver reports for duty wearing a mask

  • All employees complete a temperature check & wellness declaration.

  • Drivers are issued clean equipment for duty: iPad, vehicle key, and field disinfectant kit.

  • Drivers inspect the disinfectant kit to ensure it contains clean towels, hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, disinfectant spray, trash bags, and a use instruction card.

Step 2: Driver performs safety and cleanliness check on the vehicle

  • Driver completes vehicle inspection report.

  • Driver checks vehicle to ensure vehicle is visibly clean and barrier is properly in place.

  • If any touch ups are needed they are completed before the driver departs.

Step 3: Driver follows the BAC Vehicle Disinfection Policy in between trips

Disinfecting in the field is done wearing gloves, followed by hand washing and hand sanitizer use.

  • Between each trip, the driver uses disinfect spray and towels in the disinfectant kit, to clean the seating areas and surrounding surfaces where passengers may have touched or resided in the vehicle. These areas include seat belts, seat belt buckles, entire seat & head rest, arm rests, window area, barrier, headliner, and door handles

  • The dirty towels are placed in a garbage bag provided in the kit after use.

Step 4: Driver concludes shift

Vehicles are fueled and returned the main office.

  • Vehicles are brought to the detail bay for Ozone processing and cleaning.

  • Used towels are placed in a designated bin for special handling and cleaning.

  • Equipment and keys are returned and disinfected by the dispatch office.

Step 5: Detail shop starts deep disinfectant procedures

  • Shop employees, wearing gloves, place one ozone machine inside the vehicle in the center of the passenger area.

  • With all vehicle windows and doors closed, the ozone machine runs (for a specified amount of time according to the area being disinfected) inside the vehicle .

  • After the vehicle has been disinfected with ozone, the machine is turned off, the vehicle door is opened in a ventilated area for 5 minutes to allow the ozone to dissipate. Once ozone has dissipated, the shop employee cleans the surfaces in the passenger and driver area using clean hand towels and the disinfectant cleaner according to the BAC Vehicle Disinfectant Policy.

  • Floors are vacuumed, swept and mopped, and all windows are cleaned using glass cleaner.

  • Finally the vehicle is placed back in service for the next shift.

From the beginning, we implemented a comprehensive sanitization procedure to keep our employees and passengers safe. We've installed distance barriers, clean common touch points between each trip, use electrostatic sprayers, and ozone generators to ensure vehicles are disinfected and fully sanitized. Your safety is our highest priority and we want to thank you for riding with BAC during these times.
