Twenty-Five Years on Alaska Roads: BAC's Milestones

BAC Transportation • August 19, 2026 • 3 min read

BAC Transportation started in 2000 with two limousines and one bus. Twenty-five years later, the fleet runs from executive SUVs to 56-passenger motorcoaches, and the routes cover Anchorage, the cruise ports at Whittier and Seward, and communities across Alaska. Here are the milestones that got us there.

2000

Founded by President and CEO Charles Grimm IV. Humble beginnings: two limousines and one bus, and a simple belief that guests in Alaska deserve transportation that feels professional, dependable, and genuinely cared for.

2004

Introduced Alaska's first four-wheel-drive limousines, built for winter conditions. That decision set the pattern for the fleet: vehicles chosen for Alaska roads, not just for looks.

2008

Added Cadillac Escalades to our executive sedan services, expanding the options for executive travel and airport arrivals.

2009

Launched 24-hour ground-transportation support for commercial airline crews. Crew schedules do not keep business hours, so neither do we.

2010

Expanded into full coach bus services for large groups and tours, bringing conferences, wedding guests, and tour groups into the family.

Today

The same family, a much bigger garage, and the same standard on every trip. Wherever you are headed in Alaska, we would love to get you there.
